Description
Our public sector client requires a Secret cleared Intermediate System Administrator to support the sustainment of various MCE IT networks and systems that are used for the acquisition, production, management, exploitation and distribution of geospatial data and products.
Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of the operation of MCE network capabilities including Data Centre operations, server virtualization, server administration, storage systems administration including installation, configuration, optimization, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting, and network configuration and administration;
- Install, setup, configure, upgrade, administer and maintain operating systems including Windows Desktop O/S, Windows Server O/S Active Directory, GPOs, Unix/Linux;
- Install, setup, configure, upgrade, administer and maintain data centre hardware including servers, storage, data backup and archival systems;
- Install, setup, configure, administer and maintain Microsoft SCCM/SCOM server used to install/update software and Windows updates/security patches;
- Install, setup, configure, upgrade, administer virtual environments;
- Install, setup, configure, upgrade, and administer Virus Scan Enterprise software;
- Install, setup, configure, upgrade, and administer Microsoft Exchange servers;
Must have:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Experience with GIS enterprise applications
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and AD Group Policies
- Certifications: MCSE, MCP and ITIL
