Our client is looking for Intermediate SCADA Engineer to help maintain and enhance functionality for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems(ENBJP00027662)

Overview:

This position is to independently maintain and enhance functionality for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in support of Control Centre Operations and related business areas. They will provide technical expertise to manage and resolve client issues for the overall benefit.

Must Have's:

• 3+ years of experience providing support for a SCADA team
• Working Knowledge of Process Control Systems and SCADA (preferably OASyS/Enterprise SCADA)
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Working Knowledge of SQL, C++, JAVA, Visual Basic

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the maintenance of SCADA production by providing technical support, troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and application testing/configuration changes.

• Work closely with Control Centre staff in the planning, organizing and delivering of upgrades to the Control Centre.

• Work closely with the Loss Management, Power and Margin, Infrastructure Optimization, Control System teams (among others) to assist on requests to meet business needs.

• Work closely with the SCADA Integration and SCADA Support teams to ensure changes in the SCADA System is communicated and transitioned properly.

• Oversee the successful transition of applications and new instance of OASyS/Enterprise SCADA, PROCYS (RTAP), and Cygnet into operation.

• Assist in SCADA system commissioning effort.

• Support critical applications through 7X24 call-out rotation.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure SCADA operational needs are met.

• Communicate technical requirements to non-technical audience members.

• Prepare and maintain documentation as per company standards.

• Demonstrate commitment to the team and its success.

• Support the development and transition of the SCADA Replacement Program.

Scope/Dimensions :

• Safe and effective implementing/execution of SCADA Operations solutions in collaboration with the other groups within SCADA Services.

• Escalating issues to the Supervisor SCADA Services (Integration, Operations or Support).

• Work primarily situated in the Control Centre to provide SCADA Support to CCO personnel.

• Demonstrate commitment to the team and its success.
