Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst to assist with manual and automated testing (HP Unified) including performance testing (Postman) for a payment engin

Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst to assist with manual and automated testing (HP Unified) including performance testing (Postman) for a payment engine application

Calgary-based client. Candidates will be working 2 days in office, and 3 days from home. 37.5 hour work week.

Must haves:

• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst with a focus on manual and automated testing (HP Unified Functional Testing in GUI and API mode, Selenium, etc)
• 3+ years experience with REST API testing and Performance Testing (Postman), application load testing, integration testing,
• 3+ years experience working on defect management, test case management and test reporting tools like JIRA
• Experience with capturing requirements, test cases, manual and automated tests as appropriate, and defect management.

Nice to haves:

• Sound knowledge of data security, data privacy and penetration testing using tools like Burp suites etc
• Strong documentation skills
• Sound knowledge of on premise and cloud-based services such as Azure and comfortable working with containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels

Responsibilities:

• Estimation, planning, and coordination of testing activities
• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools; identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.
