Our valued client is looking for a Intermediate Secret Cleared Project Engineer (8+ years) to direct engineering teams, coordinate cross-functional support, and drive design, testing, and risk management to deliver mission-ready systems.

Role is a full time permanent position.

Hybrid - 3x per week on site in Bells Corners.

You will collaborate with leadership to align project needs and drive technical excellence. You'll analyze risks, engage with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Contracts. From hands-on design, analysis, and testing to customer interfacing and technical documentation, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Directing project-assigned engineers and matrixed support personnel during project execution
• Coordinating with leadership to ensure that the project needs are met
• Providing technical inputs to, and reviewing technical outputs from subcontractors;
• Delivering project objectives that meet requirements, to schedule and on budget;
• In conjunction with the PM, reviewing project performance on a monthly basis, analyzing risks (technical, cost, schedule), initiating corrective action when required;
• Interfacing with support departments, Supply Chain, Component Engineering, Contracts;
• Communicating and interfacing with customers;
• Performing design, analysis and/or test activities in support of completing the project objectives;
• Documenting analysis, designs and tests (e.g., architecture diagrams, UML diagrams, tech notes, design documents, test plans and test reports) in the format prescribed by standard templates
• Writing formal test cases and execute them to collect formal test results
• Preparing written test reports for submission to the end customer
• Investigating system problem reports and field incident reports; perform root cause and trend analyses
• Providing technical support during higher level integration and qualification testing
• Making presentations of work at design reviews or other types of peer review

Must haves:

• Eligibility for Secret Clearance
• Eligibility to obtain a Controlled Goods Clearance
• 8+ years experience in the following:
• Requirements development, and system design
• Requirements management tools
• Systems Engineering processes and tools
• Supporting System Integration and System Verification
• Working in multi-disciplinary teams
• Technical writing
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in the defense industry (Naval or aerial engineering)
