Intermediate Power Platform Developer to deploy solutions and support process optimization initiatives

Our Calgary energy client is looking for an Intermediate Power Platform Developer to deploy solutions and support process optimization initiatives.

This is an initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate must be local to Calgary and agreeable to working downtown Calgary full-time onsite (5 days/week).

Must Haves:

• 3+ years of experience as a Power Platform developer deploying solutions utilizing but not limited to Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Dataverse, and/or custom connectors
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Troubleshooting and problem solving acumen
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.
• Determination in overcoming challenges and seeking new innovative solutions.
• Passion for understanding the latest advancements in automation and new technologies, and the diligence to apply these to solve business problems.
• Proactive analytical skills with attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with Generative AI and copilot tools and their integration in business workflows
• Knowledge of Oil and Gas or back office (HR, Finance, Risk, etc.) Operations
• Familiarity with Power Pages
• Experience with Power Automate Desktop/ RPA or UIPath
• Web Development experience with JavaScript, Python , React, or RStudio experience
• Power Platform ALM or CI/CD (Git, Azure DevOps) knowledge
• Experience building RESTful APIs in Python (FastAPI)
• Knowledge of pro code development

Responsibilities:

• Analyze processes and build solutions to optimize business processes using web based automations and application development tools.
• Support, maintain, and enhance Web-based tools and automations.
• Participate in requirements analysis; help design solutions based on the system requirements
• Monitor the health, reliability, and performance of implemented solutions, detecting issues quickly and driving quality improvement over time
• Effectively collaborate with the business and development teams to understand and support stakeholders in establishing and achieving the goals
• Participate as a member of a project team to develop innovative, high-quality solutions
• Support integrations of the solutions into production environments, and provide production support post handoff
• Document system design and operational procedures.
