Title: Advisor - Talent Sourcer
Location: Calgary, AB ONLY
Duration: February 27th, 2026 (this is a short-term contract)
Work Type: Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Thurs in office)
High Level Description:
Reporting to the Lead Talent Sourcer, this role will develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify talent pools for challenging to fill roles and skills. This function will build and maintain networks of talent for The Client's roles using technology tools, multiple channels, and will work closely with recruiters and hiring leaders to understand talent requirements. They will have networks of hard to find, diverse prospects to convert to candidates through the recruitment process and they will be expert in understanding the external market.
Specific Accountabilities:
• Partner with the recruitment team to execute talent sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
• Development and implementation of effective strategies, using tools and external analytics, to source candidates who are a fit for The Client’s roles.
• Build strong relationships with potential candidates to ensure a viable talent pipeline.
• Use of strategic sourcing methodologies, business intelligence, internal and external networks, professional organizations, social media, branding initiatives and technology tools to identify, engage, and recruit external talent prospects.
• Partner with Hiring Leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to understand talent requirements. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to find top talent for The Clients roles.
• Use of technology tools and social media platforms to locate talent with the required skills.
• Develop a strong network of external talent for hard-to-fill skills, interacts with external talent on a regular basis to ensure they are engaged with the client brand until the right role is available.
• Leads the development of a dashboard for the sourcing team to assess key metrics on the external labour.
Scope/Dimensions:
• This role provides services in direct talent sourcing of passive external candidates.
• This role has a moderate level of autonomy, and the incumbent is expected to utilize a high degree of judgment when providing advice.
• This position will be part of a small team of talent sourcers within the Talent Acquisition team.
Must Haves:
• Relevant education and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the administrative field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate to High level of experience Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Internet navigation, email, and general computer use.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Above average organization and planning skills
• Ability to learn tasks quickly and become efficient in a short period of time
• Self-starter, proactive and self-motivated
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands
• Ability to perform work with constant interruptions.
