Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to support a standards management project for a non-profit client

Our valued non-profit client is seeking an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to support a standards management project!

Initial 6-month contract opportunity with strong possibility of extension / conversion to permanent full-time. Hybrid on-site in Ottawa, ON (1 day/week on-site). 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

As the successful candidate, you will work alongside Developers, Technical Architects, Third-Party Vendors, and Client Groups to translate business requirements into technical solution requirements. You will support two core projects - with your time split between supporting:

• A standards management project, leveraging Sharepoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate
• The implementation of Docebo (a Learning Management System)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates closely with client groups and technical partners to elicit and document business requirements for technical solutions.
• Provides a bridge between the business requirements and the technical definition of the system to ensure proper translation of business requirements to technical solution requirements
• Manages and maintains business requirements and design information from inception to retirement to ensure validity and accuracy.
• Establishes meaningful relationships between related requirements and designs to verify that the proposed solution meets the defined needs of the client groups.
• Identifies solution options that meet business needs and estimates the potential value that could be realized for each solution option to confirm that the proposed solutions are optimal.
• Develops and maintains test plans and test cases to ensure that the solutions function as designed.
• Acts as a Lead for user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet user requirements and are properly signed-off prior to promotion to a Production environment.
• Performs Systems Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure new and existing system components are working as expected before UAT
• Provides Level 2 or Level 3 application-specific support, including troubleshooting and configuration and changes to settings, to the user community as defined by service level objectives.

Must-have Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
• Demonstrated experience supporting projects leveraging Sharepoint, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate
• Proven experience supporting projects involving API integrations, web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and RESTful services.
• Experience working within agile development environments and using tools like Azure DevOps.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Excellent communication skills in French
• Demonstrated experience working with LMS administration and development, preferably with Docebo.
• Strong understanding of learning technology ecosystems and SCORM/xAPI standards.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP)
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, IIBA-AAC)
• Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) Certification
