Our Public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Agile Business Analyst to transpose business requirements, model processes and perform user research for one of the existing pods supporting Claims Rehabilitation Services - 0086263

1 year contract, possibilities of extensions; Vancouver based, with 1 day/month in office


Must Have:

  • 5+ years working experience as a Business Analyst/Product Owner, which includes 3 years direct hands-on experience in the Agile practice and DevOps within an enterprise level, in highly complex and integrated environments.
  • Extensive experience liaising with product owners and developing design artifacts such as personas, journey maps, wireframes, story boards, user flows, process flows, site maps, prototypes, and mockups.
  • Experience performing user research, analyzing user needs, writing user stories and solutions and aligning with business outcomes.
  • Experience contributing to prioritization of backlogs comprising of feature development and technical debt, quality assurance and supporting team delivery.
  • Holds Product Owner certification as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe Product Manager / Product Owner (PMPO), IEEE Computer Society Scrum Product Owner Certification, Agile Certified Professional (ACP) or similar.
  • Holds Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification like SAFe Practitioner, or commitment to take the course and obtain certification within 2 months from commencement of work.
  • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)


Responsibilities:


  • Transposes business requirements and non-functional requirements into unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria and applies knowledge of agile and scrum to help teams continuously improve processes and automation for continuous deployment.
  • Creates, manages and presents non-functional artifacts through the iterative and collaborative process.
  • Supports adoption of integral DevOps practices including continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing and test-driven development.
  • Performs user research, analyzes user needs and aligns with desired business outcomes.
  • Creates personas, journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, prototypes, and mockups.
  • Executes all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off.
  • Participates in team and effort activities as needed such as: backlog grooming, sprint planning and team retrospectives. This includes working with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, the DevOps team, and the community of business engineers.
  • Cross-trains with other specialists, coaching team members and other employees to enable team members to help each other meet their team commitments.
  • Uses design thinking principles and/or user research methodologies.
  • Contributes to reference architecture and continued evolution of DevOps
