S.i. Systems client is looking for a Director, Information Management & Information Technology (IMIT) to provide leadership across enterprise IT operations, information management, records systems, and technology modernization initiatives


Permanent position. Full time onsite role in Surrey.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Progressive senior leadership experience within IT and/or information management environments, coming from an IT background
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managers in complex organizations
  • Strong background in enterprise technology operations, systems modernization, and strategic planning
  • Experience leading organizational transformation and change management initiatives
  • Experience within public sector/ unionized environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Public safety, policing, justice, or similarly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with police information systems, records management environments, or highly confidential/sensitive data environments


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead the strategic direction, planning, and modernization of the client's IMIT function
  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, scalability, and service delivery
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and champion continuous improvement across systems, processes, and teams
  • Support the ongoing evolution and growth of the client as an independent police service

Information Technology Leadership

  • Oversee enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and systems implementation initiatives
  • Provide leadership on technology governance, risk management, business continuity, and information security practices
  • Lead technology transformation projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and modernization efforts
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of technology services across the organization

Information Management & Operational Systems

  • Oversee information management functions including records management, electronic document management, and operational police information systems
  • Support teams responsible for policing-related applications and records environments, including PRIME and related systems
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, privacy, security, and operational requirements related to police information management
  • Partner with operational and corporate stakeholders to improve workflows and information accessibility

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers and multidisciplinary teams within the IMIT division
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented culture
  • Provide leadership within a unionized and public-sector environment
  • Support employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning initiatives

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with executive leadership, operational stakeholders, external partners, and vendors
  • Translate technical concepts into business-focused recommendations for senior leadership
  • Support cross-functional collaboration and organizational alignment on strategic initiatives
