Our crown corporation client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to run agile team and support a digitization project.


Initially a 12-months contract. 37.5 hours/week. 2 days/week onsite in Surrey (Wednesday's is core day with second day based on when project comes in).


Must Have:

• 7+ years as a Business Systems Analyst

• End-to-end knowledge of software development lifecycles (e.g. build and release management, migration methodology);

• Scrum Master or senior Agile experience; manage backlogs, release planning, daily standups, work with product owner, work with cross functional Developers, QAs.

• Experience in Java, SQL/Oracle, Cloud Technologies, Confluence, SPLUNK, ITSM tools (e.g. HPSM, ServiceNow), process mapping tool (e.g. Visio);

• Advanced knowledge of different requirement gathering techniques and hands on experience with UI and design principles, functional and non-functional requirements; • Experience conducting impact analysis in an enterprise environment;

• Experience applying enterprise architecture and security framework principles;

• Experience with different testing techniques;

• Experience performing production support including incident, problem and change management;


Accountabilities:

· Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to deliver the project within the

specified timelines.

· Use previous technical experience to deliver projects using Agile methodology.

· Document systems and acceptance criteria based on business requirements .

· Work closely with the business stakeholders in understanding and prioritizing requests to support investigation and remediation.

· Clearly articulate requirements, proactively collaborate with team, and facilitate development and testing activities to ensure the solution meets the business need.

· Manage backlog, run sprint planning sessions and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).

· Provide data to the business stakeholders for investigation and remediation.

Deliverables:

Cross Functional Delivery & Timelines

· Delivery plan and Weekly progress reports

· Stakeholder communication plan and meeting notes confirming decisions and action items.

Agile Ways of Working

· Agile delivery approach document (Scrum/Kanban selection, ceremonies, roles,

Definition of Done/Ready) with Iteration calendar with ceremony cadence

Requirements & Acceptance Criteria

· System Requirements Specification (SRS) covering functional and non

functional needs documented

· Acceptance Criteria for each requirement documented in Jira

· Requirements traceability matrix for clear, testable, prioritized, and signed

off by business stakeholders

· Intake & prioritization log of stakeholder requests with business value,

urgency, and effort estimates.

Solution Elaboration & Team Facilitation

· Solution outline/High level design aligning business requirements to proposed

components and interfaces.

· Collaboration records (workshop agendas, outcomes, decisions, open

questions).

· Test approach & sample test cases derived from acceptance criteria.

Backlog Management & Scrum Ceremonies

· Product backlog with epics, features, and user stories-prioritized and

estimated.

· Sprint backlog with committed scope, capacity plan, and acceptance criteria

for each story.

· Ceremony artifacts:

Daily stand up summaries (impediment log).

Sprint planning notes (goals, commitment, capacity).

Sprint review demo checklist & feedback captured.

Retrospective outcomes with actionable improvements and owners.
