Bonjour, je recrute actuellement un estimateur en mécanique industrielle pour un entrepreneur spécialisé en mécanique industrielle, chaudronnerie, tuyauterie et structure d'acier, sur la Rive-Nord de Montréal. C'est une création de poste, donc tu arrives au bon moment pour laisser ta marque. Pourquoi ce poste va t'intéresser

Tu vas estimer des projets concrets dans le secteur industriel, pas des dossiers répétitifs. Comme c'est une création de poste, tu participes à bâtir la façon de faire de l'équipe Soumissions plutôt que d'hériter d'un moule déjà coulé. Tu touches à la mécanique industrielle, à la chaudronnerie et à la structure d'acier, donc à des projets techniques qui changent d'un client à l'autre. Et tu travailles avec une équipe qui connaît son métier, dans une entreprise où la qualité de l'estimation compte vraiment.

Ce que tu vas faire au quotidien

Sous la supervision du responsable des Soumissions, tu prends en charge l'entièreté des soumissions de nature mécanique dans le secteur industriel, et tu en garantis la conformité. Concrètement, tu transformes des plans et des devis en estimations complètes, justes et défendables, du relevé jusqu'à la présentation finale.

• Réaliser le relevé des heures de chantier en mécanique industrielle, chaudronnerie et structure d'acier.

• Analyser les plans et devis, puis compiler une estimation complète et précise.

• Évaluer les besoins en sous-traitance, préparer les demandes de prix et établir la liste des soumissionnaires.

• Effectuer les visites de chantier pour valider les conditions réelles d'exécution.

• Identifier les exigences contractuelles et superviser la préparation des formulaires de soumission.

• Présenter tes estimations pour validation et défendre tes hypothèses de chiffrage.

Le profil que je cherche

*Ce que tu apportes :*

• Un DEC en estimation en construction ou une expérience connexe en installation industrielle.

• Plus de 3 ans d'expérience en estimation.

• Une vraie aisance en lecture de plans, avec de la capacité d'analyse et de synthèse.

*Ce qui va faire ton succès dans le rôle :*

• Tu gères plusieurs dossiers de front sans échapper de détails.

• Tu es autonome, rigoureux et proactif, tu n'attends pas qu'on vienne te pousser.

• Bonus apprécié : une expérience dans un secteur industriel comme les aciéries, alumineries, l'aérospatial, l'agroalimentaire, la cimenterie, l'énergie, les pâtes et papiers, le minier ou le traitement des eaux.

Hi, I'm currently hiring an industrial mechanical estimator for a contractor specialized in industrial mechanics, boilermaking, piping and steel structures, on the North Shore of Montreal. This is a brand new role, so you're coming in at the right moment to leave your mark. If you enjoy watching an estimate take shape from the blueprint all the way to the final bid, and you want to work on real, large scale industrial projects, we should have a good conversation.

Why this role will appeal to you

You'll be estimating concrete projects in the industrial sector, not repetitive paperwork. Since it's a newly created role, you get to help shape how the Bids team works instead of inheriting a mold that's already set. You'll touch on industrial mechanics, boilermaking and steel structures, meaning technical projects that change from one client to the next. And you'll work alongside a team that knows its trade, in a company where the quality of an estimate genuinely matters.

What you'll do day to day

Reporting to the Bids manager, you'll take full ownership of mechanical bids in the industrial sector and make sure they're fully compliant. In practice, you'll turn plans and specifications into complete, accurate and defensible estimates, from the takeoff right through to the final presentation.

• Carry out the takeoff of jobsite hours in industrial mechanics, boilermaking and steel structures.

• Analyze plans and specifications, then compile a complete and precise estimate.

• Assess subcontracting needs, prepare requests for pricing and build the list of bidders.

• Run jobsite visits to confirm the real conditions of execution.

• Identify contractual requirements and oversee the preparation of bid forms.

• Present your estimates for validation and stand behind your pricing assumptions.

The profile I'm looking for

*What you bring:*

• A DEC in construction estimating, or related experience in industrial installation.

• More than 3 years of experience in estimating.

• Real comfort reading plans, along with strong analytical and synthesis skills.

*What will make you successful in the role:*

• You juggle several files at once without letting details slip.

• You're autonomous, rigorous and proactive, you don't wait to be pushed.

• A nice plus: experience in an industrial sector such as steel mills, aluminum smelters, aerospace, food processing, cement, energy, pulp and paper, mining or water treatment.
