POSITION: EDUCATION ASSISTANT - TEMPORARY
Princeton Secondary School
5.5 hour per day - 1 Day/week on school days only
EFFECTIVE: February 2, 2026 - June 26, 2026 or return of incumbent
SHIFT: School days only - exact day and time of the hours to be determined by the Administrator SALARY: Starting wage is $32.40 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS: As per Job Description, plus:
EA Certification
POPARD 5 Day - Autism training
POPFASD
PBS - Positive Behaving Support
CPI -Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention
Responsibilities:
- Adapted and/or modified individualized education plan (IEP) support and may involve working with students with significant developmental delays, learning difficulties and who may have a variety of diagnosis.
- Intense personal assistance on a daily basis that may require heavy lifting and/or mobility support, as well as personal care and hygiene.
- Supporting medical conditions and in such cases, nursing support training will be provided.
- Significant positive behavior supports and support of social emotional self-regulation.
- Commitment to and training in complex and critical support of students' technology.
- Transporting students into the community if the school is located too far away from community resources to walk.
- Being willing and able to support adapted aquatics in the pool with students.
- Applicants must have a valid BC Driver's license and be willing to transport students to community activities in their own
