Temporary Primary Grade 2 Teaching Position (1.0 FTE) Immediately to June 30, 2025
Internal/External
A Temporary (1.0) Primary Grade 2 teacher is required by School District #49 (Central Coast). The assignment will be at Bella Coola Elementary School effective Immediately and ending June 30, 2025. Interested teachers who are a member or who are eligible to become a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch are invited to apply. Assignment may change depending on enrolment and curricular needs.
Required Experience:
- Recent success as a primary classroom teacher;
- Demonstrated ability to unpack the new curriculum (core and curricular competencies);
- Knowledge of Aboriginal World View and understanding;
- Familiarity working with students on IEP's;
- A proven ability with assessment as and for learning strategies;
- A commitment to integrate local Indigenous Culture into the curriculum;
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills;
- A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting;
- The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community;
- Be willing to submit to a local criminal record check.
