Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities/Designate, the Electrician is involved in the performance of a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on electrical equipment in buildings throughout the district; and work as a member of a team to ensure the timely resolution of general district Facilities requirements, in accordance with applicable Canadian Electrical Code, Directives, Provincial Standards, regulations, policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Graduation
- Trades Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician
- Minimum of 2 years related experience at the journeyman level
- Field Safety Representative certificate
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Ability to analyze, interpret and use judgement in the resolution of problems
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Good interpersonal and communication (oral) skills
- Demonstrated ability in a variety of functions within the construction industry
- Self-starter with ability to organize daily tasks, work independently and as a team member
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Direct Digital Control (DDC) experience with HVAC and lighting systems
- Arc Flash Training
- Lockout Procedures
