SECONDARY Math teacher

This position will consist of 2 Blocks of Science 8, 1 Block of Science 10 and 1 Block of Physics 11. The successful candidate for this position must have current academic and professional preparation as well as teaching experience in these subject areas at the Secondary Grade levels.



The Richmond School District is currently seeking a full-time secondary Physics teacher. The successful candidate for this position must have current academic and professional preparation as well as teaching experience in Science at the secondary grade levels.

Applicants are expected to work in a collaborative environment and to have demonstrated such ability. Flexibility and the ability to adapt practice, strategies and/or curriculum to respond to students’ needs is required. The successful applicant must possess a willingness to take on the challenges of this posting and a demonstrated commitment to implementing all aspects of BC Curriculum - Curricular and Core Competencies, Classroom Assessment.

The students in all classes at Burnett will range from those who are highly skilled in a curricular area to those with limited English language exposure and awareness. A demonstrated ability to build rapport and engage with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds and with a wide variety of learning needs and styles is essential.
