Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Assignment Area(s): Curriculum Relief Teachers (5 Positions)

Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,520 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)

Effective Date: September 29, 2025, until not later than May 28, 2026

Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:

Please Note: The “Learning Services” Relief Teachers will travel as a cohort, teaching classes of students while the regular classroom teachers collaborate on student learning.

  • valid BC professional teaching certificate (BCCT)
  • extensive academic training, professional preparation and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment
  • knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to multiple levels of instruction
  • demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instruction at all grade levels
  • demonstrated ability to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching with evidence of strong organizational, communication and classroom management skills
  • demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, impactful lessons
  • demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students and parents
  • demonstrated ability to be flexible and to adapt to a variety of classroom assignments, ranging from K to 12
  • demonstrated commitment to, and engagement in, ongoing professional development
  • demonstrated strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • applicants must possess a valid BC driver's license and have the use of a vehicle
