Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Receiver & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse activities, scheduling shipments, leading inventory cycle counts, and acting as the central dispatcher for outbound product shipments. This role ensures accurate inventory levels, efficient product flow, and timely deliveries while supporting overall warehouse operations and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize regular inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventories;
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies;
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS);
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Work with production, purchasing and planning teams to ensure inventory availability aligns with demand;
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods;
  • Provide feedback to purchasers and route goods to the appropriate storage areas;
  • Assist with outbound product shipments;
  • Assist with scheduling carriers and coordinating pickup and delivery times;
  • Assist with preparing and verifying shipping documentation (BOLs, packing slips, shipping labels);
  • Assist with tracking shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues;
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow;
  • Comply with all Bailey Health & Safety rules, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements;
  • Operate forklift to unload, transport and store goods;
  • Backup shipper/receiver in the yard when absences need coverage, or volumes require additional resources;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, Lead Hand, or Plant Manager.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain (asset);
  • Two (2) years of warehousing experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment;
  • Dispatching or transportation coordination experience (asset);
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing;
  • Proficiency with inventory systems, WMS, and Microsoft Office;
  • Experience using SAP (strong asset)
  • Experience using a TMS system for booking carriers (i.e. Manhattan);
  • Experience in a counterbalance forklift operation warehouse experience (asset);
  • Exhibits strong personal attributes, including integrity, open-mindedness, attentiveness, and persistence;
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines while working both independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while adhering to all safety requirements and procedures;
  • Must be able to safely lift to 25 kg as part of regular job duties
  • Wear proper PPE as recommended.
  • Able to perform duties outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, and snow).
