PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: We have multiple vacancies open between two Terminals. We are expecting our new Kanata Terminal to open at the end of September 2025.
KANATA TERMINAL
Start Date: August 2025
Location: 1400 Upper Canada St, Ottawa ON, K2T 0R5
Scheduled Shift: Monday - Friday, 03:00 AM - 08:15 AM (15 min. unpaid break), 25 hours weekly
Pay-rate: $18.90 per hour (next salary increase after 3 months of service as per Collective Agreement)
Vacancies: 13 positions available
HAWTHORNE TERMINAL
Start Date: August 2025
Location: 3330 Hawthorne Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 3W9
Scheduled Shift: Monday - Friday, 02:15 AM - 08:00 AM (15 min. unpaid break), 27.5 hours weekly
Pay-rate: $18.90 per hour (next salary increase after 3 months of service as per Collective Agreement)
Vacancies: 8 positions available
The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.
ResponsibilitiesUnload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without any restrictions
Must have access to a vehicle to get to and from the terminal
Must be able to meet physical requirement of job, i.e. lift or carry approximately 70lbs.
Must pass the RCMP Criminal Record Check
Must own CSA approved steel toe footwear (up to $200 reimbursed)
Previous experience in a Distribution Center or Warehouse Environment considered an asset
EducationHigh School Diploma (or equivalent), or working towards Diploma
ExperiencePrevious experience in a Unionized environment considered an asset
No experience necessary

Pension & Employee Share Program
Purolator offers a Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Plan to its employees. Purolator also offers Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (GRRSP) and Group Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSA) for its employees. Purolator offers its full and part-time employees the ability to enrol in the Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP).
- After 12 months of continuous service, employees are automatically enrolled in the DB Pension Plan
- As of the hire date, employees are eligible to start making voluntary contributions to the GRRSP and TFSA
- Full and Part-time employees are eligible to enrol in the ESOP program after 6 months of continuous service
TELUS Health - Employee & Family Assistance Program
Purolator supports the health and well-being of its employees and provides access to the Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) through TELUS Health.
