We are searching for an energetic, enthusiastic individual to assume some responsibilities as a part time Vice-Principal with Al-Amal Islamic Academy. Ideally, you would possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to provide a balanced advocacy for teachers, students and parents. The ability to motivate and inspire staff and students to high levels of achievement along with establishing and maintaining a respectful, orderly and purposeful school environment is essential. Preference will be given to an individual with the expertise to support the overall development of literacy and numeracy for all students.
Al-Amal Academy is located in North West Calgary and provides an Islamic learning environment that offers an accredited program of studies compliant with the Alberta curriculum. Al-Amal Academy is a K-9 school that offers a wide variety of learning opportunities including regular classroom studies as well as foreign language, computer science and sports groups. This full-time probationary position includes administrative responsibilities for the K-4 levels at the Academy. Teaching duties will be assigned based on the successful candidate's qualifications. The position begins on the first day of the 2025-2026 school year and includes an administrative allowance in recognition of the leadership role. Preference will be given to candidates who hold or are actively pursuing a Master's degree.
