We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that nurtures each child's individual needs. A passion for student learning and the ability to inspire and connect with learners of all abilities are essential. Strong communication skills are also a must.
This is a part time (0.75 FTE) temporary leave replacement position starting on the first day of the 2025-2026 school year. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering the Alberta curriculum at the elementary level. Preference will be given to an applicant with previous training and experience in elementary education. Staff housing is available for the successful candidate.
Altario is located in east-central Alberta along Highway 899 and serves the communities of Compeer, Kirriemuir, and Altario. The school is the heart of the community bringing families together and fostering a strong sense of small-town support for both students and staff. Altario School is a K-12 school known for its unique agriculture program, which features a student run farm with steers, turkeys, chickens, sheep and more. Altario School has a rich history of high academic achievement, active student engagement, and strong community involvement.
