This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. June 27th, 2025 as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement.
We are currently looking for a responsible, supportive Educational Assistant to assist in the classroom in various capacities. You must exhibit a strong interest in working with children, be friendly in nature and be sensitive towards children's needs.
This is a part time (0.5 FTE) position in Youngstown School to commence the first day of the 2025-2026 school year. You will be required to work 15 hours per week. You will be responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in providing additional support to the students. You must be able to exhibit the associated skills to communicate with students and teachers in a meaningful and professional manner. You will be expected to present yourself as an organized and professional representative of the staff, both in person, on the telephone and through correspondence. Previous experience working within a fast-paced, team environment would be an asset.
