Pembina Hills School Division requires a Temporary Full Time Educational Assistant at R. F. Staples Secondary School in Westlock.
The successful candidate must be a
self-directed team player who is interested in working with children with
diverse needs in the preschool program. This position begins November 3, 2025, pending the end of the teacher's strike, and will continue until November 28, 2025.

approximately 90 km northwest of Edmonton, our vision is that all students

The Position:
The hours of work will be 6.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday following the school calendar. The successful applicant will assist in the Foods and Art classrooms.
Duties may include:
- preparing and organizing ingredients and food items
- Assist in cooking tasks
- Dishwashing, food storage and equipment cleanliness
- Assist teacher in all aspects of overseeing students to ensure safety
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience with children with a diversity of learning needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
- Applicants should be willing to work with a team of support staff and willing to be flexible in their assignments
- First aid would be an asset
- Able to work as a member of a preschool team
- Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
- First Aid would be an asset
- Food safety certification would be preferred
Physical demands of the position include heavy lifting, reaching, bending and long periods of standing and walking.
