Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of a School Lunch Provider based out of R.F. Staples Secondary School. The Division Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3600 students in 16 community schools including two Hutterite Colony Schools and two outreach schools. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. The Position The School Lunch Provider is responsible for planning, preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a safe and efficient manner, and for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday working 2 hours/day following the school calendar. Duties are to commence August 26, 2024. Qualifications Knowledge of the Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children & YouthExtensive knowledge of kitchen and food service operations Excellent communication skillsAbility to lift a minimum of 20 lbsAble to tolerate standing for long periods of time Must be able to manage their time effectively to have meals ready to serve to studentsMust have a high degree of attention to detail Must be able to adapt to different situations such as dealing with students with dietary restrictions or shortage of supplies For further information, please contact:Darcy Kirkham (Principal) at 780-349-4454This competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
