Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3600 students in 16 community schools including two Hutterite Colony Schools and two outreach schools. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. The Position

The School Administrative Support position will support the Administration team and manage day-to-day operations of the school. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The position will be 6 hours/day working Tuesdays/Thursdays following the school calendar. This position will begin August 26, 2024 until June 17, 2025.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Self-motivated and efficient

Superior organizational skills

Handling detail with a high degree of accuracy

Possess excellent public relations and communication skills

Creative problem solver

Have strong writing, proofreading and editing skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities

Able to exercise a high degree of confidentiality

Able to work independently and to collaborate to provide team support

Ability to work in a high energy setting with changing priorities

Quick learner, willing to ask questions

Computer and technology skills in programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Acrobat, PASI, Genius SIS and PowerSchool

Experience working in a school setting

Experience with budgets, purchase orders, petty cash journals, statements and invoices

Post-secondary training in office administration is an asset
