requires for the 2024-2025 school year a
Full -Time Junior High Teacher
at Fairview High School
Fairview High School is located in the town of Fairview, 115 kms north of Grande Prairie. The school serves approximately 260 students in grades 7-12. Fairview High School supports a variety of programs including an active sports program, excellent CTS Program, partnerships with community organizations and energetic student council group.
One Full -Time (1.00 F.T.E.) Junior High Teacher is required commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 30, 2025.
Qualifications:
Experience and/or training in teaching junior high level grades
Excellent communications skills with students, staff and parents
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success
Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students achievement
Strong classroom management skills
A keen understanding of assessment practices
The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division).
