Cleardale, Alberta
Menno Simons Community School serves students in grade K-12 and is comprised of English students and ESL Mennonite students. The school is situated west of Fairview, Alberta, north of the beautiful Peace River in the mixed farming area of Cleardale, Alberta, approximately 657 km northwest of Edmonton and 213 km west of Grande Prairie
One Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Elementary/Jr. High Generalist Teacher is required commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 30, 2025. The initial assignment may include Grades 6-9 core subjects. Some flexibility in assignment exists depending on the successful applicant's talents and interests.
Qualifications:
Experience and/or training in teaching (all grade levels)
Excellent communications skills with students, staff and parents
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success
Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students’ achievement
Strong classroom management skills
A keen understanding of assessment practices
The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
