Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to work on multiple infrastructure projects including rail, roads, bridges, buildings.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for enforcing the Digital Delivery strategy, championing innovation, providing advice and support to both the client and support chain regarding emerging technologies, asset performance and operations requirements.
- Provides input to the task lead for the development of the BIM implementation baseline schedule at the start of any task.
- Utilizes BIM related software to develop and manage digital models.
- Leads the preparation, review, and execution of implementation/management plans at the program/project level.
- Assesses and confirms BIM accessibility and data accuracy through quality reviews/checks.
- Completes model assurance reports, drafts special provisions, and procurement for digital uses. Reviews models for compliance, with oversight.
- Provides input to clients/others working on same project and assists team in responding to client queries and requests.
- Assists in developing the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) e.g. standards, methods, and procedures.
- Collaborates with project teams for effective model integration.
- Interfaces with other departments regularly, on matters relating to work assignments.
- Provides technical guidance/training to junior staff, checks the deliverables of equal-to or less experienced staff.
- Supports the development of training materials and may perform in an advisory capacity to senior management and production staff.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent work experience) with 10+ years related work experience and BIM related certification is preferred.
- Proficient in advanced core building information modeling software packages/workflows and related modeling principles and application.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles; apply concepts to modeling assignments.
- Advanced knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) usage and management for model production. Advanced understanding of hardware and software used in CAD and BIM (including deployment processes, requirements and troubleshooting).
- Awareness of key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk registers for digital production delivery. Ability to generate basic reports.
- Understands how to perform basic capacity and capability assessments for task teams and model production.
- Has the ability to use and provide ongoing support in BIM and CDE systems (e.g. ProjectWise and/or ACC).
- Understanding of Task Information Delivery Plan/Master Information Delivery Plan development and use.
- Proficient in developing catalogues, e.g., 2D symbology, families, parametric, parts, sub-assemblies, etc.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) modeling technical and non-technical subjects with management, engineering, and production staff.
