Computer Technician Support Assistant

The Division:

With its central office in the City of Lethbridge, Palliser is a unique public-school division serving approximately 9,000 students, ECS through Grade 12, in 50 schools, including 3 outreach programs, 2 alternative Low-German Mennonite programs, 11 alternative Faith based schools, 17 Hutterite colony schools and one on-line school. Ten of Palliser’s alternative faith-based schools are located in the City of Calgary.

The Position:

The school district is looking for three full-time temporary positions to assist with computer systems in our schools (1 position in Calgary and 2 positions in Lethbridge) starting July 2, 2024 and ending August 23, 2024 (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday).

The Computer Technician Support Assistant will assist Palliser Computer Technicians in the following areas:

Deploying IT resources across the division (including testing equipment, redeployment of desktop and laptop computers, setting up Chromebooks and Chromeboxes)

Working with IT staff in inventory management

Deprovisioning equipment

Laptop and wireless network support

Workstation maintenance and upgrading

PLEASE NOTE: Positions may involve traveling to schools within the Palliser School Division with one of the IT staff.
