Under the direction of the Assistant Manager of Communications, the Casual Receptionist:

  • Receives and directs all incoming phone calls,

  • Greets visitors to the Board Office;

  • Handles courier services;

  • Provides general clerical support;

  • Mailroom functions include sorting mail and distributing to schools and departments, as well as processing mail for Canada Post,

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Completed secondary school

  • One (1)year of related experience.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Exceptional customer service skills.



Preferred:

  • Fluently bilingual (English/French)

  • Experience using the Meridian console

  • Ability to work with Google applications



Individuals possessing an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

This is an on-call, casual position with a wage of $26.00 - $28.75 per hour (depending upon the position) plus 4% vacation pay.
