About Us

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community at large. Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.

We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Blossom Park Public School.

Blossom Park PS is a school of community of just over 400 people. Our community is situated in the south end of the city serving newcomers to Canada. Many of our students live in poverty, are from racialized backgrounds and are learning English as an additional language. The school is a K-8 configuration and hosts 3 specialized programs - an intermediate General Learning program, a junior Behaviour Intervention program and a 6-8 English Literacy Development program.

Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being.
