The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community at large. Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.



We are now accepting applications for:

Casual Office Support List

$20.26 per hour (plus 4% in lieu of vacation)



Casuals may be called to replace absent staff, to assist during peak periods throughout the school year, or help with special projects. Assignments can last anywhere from 1 day to several weeks, depending on the need.

Casuals may also be needed to support different administrative functions, including Finance, Payroll, Facilities, and Human Resources.

We are currently in need of Casuals to support the Elementary and Secondary Schools in the main office. Typical tasks include front reception duties, assisting with safe arrivals, supporting student and/or staff attendance, and data entry.



Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to accept assignments on an as-needed basis throughout the school year.
  • Available during the day - full or half-days (Monday to Friday)
  • Office administration skills and experience, or experience working in a school environment.
  • Professional training/diploma (ex. Finance, Payroll, and Human Resources) is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to use Google applications (including email, docs, sheets, etc).
  • Bookkeeping skills are an asset.



As a condition of employment, all newly hired employees must submit a satisfactory Police Record Check for the vulnerable sector.
