Job Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical components to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
- The installation, assembly, connecting, testing, repairing, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrading of electrical fixtures, components, apparatus and control equipment to
minimize downtime and maintain or improve efficiency. - Troubleshooting and systematically diagnosing and correcting faults in electrical or electronic systems and equipment by repairing, and/or replacing electrical or electronic
components as required. - Complete electrical log and modify plant electrical blueprints.
- Follow plant lockout procedures and all pertinent company health and safety procedures.
- Ensure all guards including panel doors are in place.
Qualifications and Education Experience
- Valid Industrial Electrician License
- Industrial Electrician experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP considered an asset
- Ability to function effectively autonomously and in a team environment
