A2526-01 Principal - Ecole Plamondon School
This is a full-time position commencing with the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Ecole Plamondon School is located in the Village of Plamondon with approximately 300 students in ECS to Grade 12 and offers instruction primarily in English. Russian and French are offered as second languages. The vision at Ecole Plamondon School is to graduate students who value multiculturalism, family, honesty, commitment, and work ethic.. The division is seeking a dedicated and caring leader who will support and collaboratively work with the school community to create a welcoming learning environment where all students learn and excel.
Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the successful candidate will:
- Ensure effective educational programming and school activities for students
- Develop and nurture a positive, supportive and inclusive school culture
- Provide effective instructional leadership to school staff
- Work collaboratively with division office staff, the school staff, students and the School Council to achieve the goals of the school and the division
- Effectively manage school operations and resources
- Nurture strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the school community
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Possess or eligible to achieve the Alberta Leadership Quality Standards Certificate
- Previous school administration experience is an asset
- The ability to work effectively with diverse student and parent groups
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional improvement
- A strong background in leadership skills and effective instructional practices
