TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY PART TIME
DISTRICT STUDENT DATA CLERK School Board Office
Nisga'a School District No. 92 invites applications for a temporary District Student Data Clerk. This is a 4.0 hour a day position at the School Board Office starting January 5, 2026, to March 13, 2026.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated with initiative. The individual must have the ability to complete tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision and on a timely basis. This will be a temporary position of 20 hours per week starting January 5, 2026.. Hours and days of the work to be assigned by the Secretary-Treasurer.
Duties and Responsibilities: Student Data
- Act as the district contact for the Ministry of Education
- Facilitate the collection of student information for the provision of grants to the school district and student information reporting
- Oversees and validates student information system data for the schools and the district to meet provincial reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Transfers to the Ministry of Education ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide instructions to the schools about the student data requirements
- Trouble shoot data related problems
- Provide all reporting from the student information system to be used for funding and other purposes
- Manages system roles and access rights to SIS to ensure data confidentiality and system integrity.
- Provide enrolment information to the Secretary-Treasurer each month
- Provides functional direction to the administrative and clerical staff in the schools on the SIS components of their work.
- Provides help desk services to staff using the student data management systems through problem solving and technical guidance around related software.
- Prepares and maintains technical documentation such as instructions, procedures and user manuals.
- Prepares, adapts, coordinates and delivers training programs to school and district staff to support the student data management system.
- Grade 12
- Thorough working knowledge of Ministry procedures for 1701 Data Collection and District/School reporting processes and/or experience working with data base systems
- Certificate in Office Administration, or equivalent knowledge and experience with bookkeeping and general office procedures
- Minimum word processing speed of 50 W.P.M.
