K-12 LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY - Temporary DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR
(Principal / Vice -Principal) - INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

The Nisga'a School District No. 92 is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and visionary educational leader to join our team as the District Administrator (Principal/Vice - Principal) - Inclusive Education. This is a temporary position starting August 1, 2025 and ending June 30 2026, as well as exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusive learning environments to support the success and well-being of all learners.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of Instruction - Learning & Innovation, the District Administrator - Inclusive Education provides strategic leadership in inclusive education and learner
support services. This role is responsible for ensuring equitable access to high-quality education for all students, including those with diverse abilities and needs. The successful candidate will be a skilled facilitator and systems thinker who fosters collaboration,
inspires innovation, and leads with integrity and cultural humility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support inclusive education programs aligned with district goals and provincial legislation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of IEPs and other support plans.
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and community partners to support student success.
- Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion through evidence-informed practices.
- Provide professional learning opportunities for staff to build capacity in inclusive education.
- Manage resources, staffing, and budgets to support inclusive programming.
- Support student wellness, mental health, and social-emotional development.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and support risk assessment processes.
- Monitor student achievement and develop strategies to improve outcomes for designated learners.
- Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Special Education, or a related field.
- BC Teaching Certificate and membership in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Branch.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience and 3 years of leadership experience in inclusive education or school administration.
- Expertise in IEP development, psych-ed assessments, and student support services.
- Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices, UDL, and differentiated instruction.
- Proven ability to lead change, build relationships, and foster collaborative environments.
- Commitment to equity, reconciliation, and Indigenous perspectives, particularly Nisga'a culture and history.
