Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. - Lead and participate in the maintenance and support of in‑cabin mining technology solutions, including fleet management systems, fatigue monitoring tools, and collision‑detection systems.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of IT/OT systems, such as surface and underground communications (WiFi, Private LTE, leaky feeder, and two‑way digital radio), to ensure minimal downtime and strong operational productivity.
- Assist in planning and executing technology projects, ensuring alignment with site priorities, operational needs, and stakeholder expectations.
- Research, recommend, and implement improvements that enhance operator productivity through effective use of in‑cabin technologies, including delivering training and support where needed.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for in‑cabin hardware and communication systems to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by responding to issues promptly and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify, track, escalate, and resolve technology‑related issues with clear communication and thorough documentation.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members to support skill growth and strong performance.
- Oversee and collaborate with vendors and contractors who provide specialized support for in‑cabin technology and mining communications, ensuring compliance with standards and contractual expectations.
- Work closely with other technology teams to support seamless integration, performance, and reliability of all technology solutions across the site.
- Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies, vendor management, and project execution.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the mining industry.
- Understanding of customer service principles and user‑support best practices.
- Experience supporting in‑cabin mining systems (fleet management, fatigue monitoring, collision detection).
- Expertise in IT/OT system performance management and troubleshooting.
- Strong capability in configuring and maintaining communications networks (WiFi, Private LTE, leaky feeder, two‑way radio).
- Ability to develop preventative maintenance schedules and operator training support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong self‑awareness and ability to adapt behaviour for productive team outcomes.
- Skilled in building positive relationships across disciplines.
- Ability to listen, provide feedback, resolve issues, and create a collaborative team environment.

Location: Red Chris Mine in Dease Lake, British Columbia - situated on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation.
Schedule: 15/13 fly‑in fly‑out (FIFO) rotation.
Accommodation: Camp‑based lodging provided, including meals, Wi‑Fi, fitness facilities, and recreational amenities.
Work Setting: Field‑based technical support role, with responsibilities both at in‑pit/operational areas and in office/technical workspaces.
- Compensation: Competitive salary range of $105,800 to $141,100 CAD, depending on skills and experience, plus 15% Short‑Term Incentive Plan (STIP).

The expected salary range for this role is CA$105,800-141,100 with 15% STIP . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
