Qualified Scaffolder

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Primary function is to erect/dismantle scaffolding across site.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes and Worksafe BC minimum requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Supervise and support apprentices.
• Work with the Planning group to build shut down labor requirements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in resourcefulness and innovation.
• A team player that works well with others.
• Other duties as required.

Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance and special projects with on-site teams and trades

• Qualified Scaffolding certification with minimum intermediate level.
• 5 years experience.
• Class 5 drivers License.
• Experience working 15 x 13 rotation in a remote site.
• Operate light equipment including but not limited to telehandler, manlift, and skid steer.
• Ability to scope jobs and perform material take offs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Rigging and craning experience considered an assest.
• Carpentry experience considered and assest.

The expected hourly rate for this role is CA$53.70. This rate is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
