Your impact


You’ll play a key role in ensuring planned shutdowns run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. By coordinating people, equipment, and timelines, you’ll help minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

As part of our team you will


• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed shutdown schedules that align with maintenance and production goals.

• Collaborate across departments to plan resources, materials, and contractor support.
• Monitor progress and proactively adjust plans to address challenges.
• Ensure all shutdown activities meet Newmont’s safety and environmental standards.
• Contribute to post-shutdown reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Prerequisites for your success in this role

• Strong coordination, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in maintenance or operations within the mining industry.
• Demonstrated experience working with contractors and vendors.
• Proficiency in SAP is a essential.
• Skilled at collaborating across teams and communicating clearly.
• A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Your work environment

This role is being offered remotely or based on the Vancouver Regional Office, with occasional site visits as required to both our Red Chris and Brucejack operations in Northwest British Columbia. You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where proactive planning and teamwork ensure shutdowns are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ $83,400.00 - $111,180.00. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
