The Red Chris Mine Operations team is recruiting for the position of Journeyperson Gas Fitter with a competitive hourly rate of $59.07 and additional benefits, including a Travel Allowance to get to and from the work site. We are seeking an individual for a Fly-In, Fly-Out opportunity working on a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation.
Purpose
To support the site maintenance and services department team to complete a variety of maintenance projects around site and in camp.
Accountabilities
- Install, repair and maintain various equipment around site.
- Design, install, test, adjust, maintain and repair lines, appliances, equipment and accessories in various areas of the mine.
- Manage systems for various gas and fuel types, including propane.
- Maintain and repair appliances and equipment such as boilers, burners, makeup air units, furnaces, process burners, and various other gas-fired equipment.
- Assist other maintenance personnel by performing minor building repairs and servicing around site, as required.
- Install and repair propane piping and associated fittings.
- Maintain HVAC systems to ministry standards.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement to enhance operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
- The mentorship and training of apprentices.
- Blueprints and Construction estimating experience.
- Input timesheets, material information, equipment information and work orders electronically via SAP.
- Practice workplace safety.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to in confined spaces
- A team player that works well with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber ticket
- Experience in commercial kitchen servicing an asset;
- Refrigeration HVAC ticket required.
- BC Gasfitter Class B ticket.
- Experience in HVAC systems is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years journeyperson experience.
- Safety orientated mindset
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
- Overhead crane, Aerial Work Platform, rigging certificates are an asset.
- Pipe fusing ticket an asset.
- Experience with pipe system layout.
- Boiler experience.

The expected hourly rate for this role is CA$ . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
