Your Impact
As an Advisor, Instrumentation, you will provide specialized expertise in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of instrumentation systems critical to operational performance. Your work ensures system reliability, supports corporate standards, and drives continuous improvement across our mine sites. This position requires travel to our operating assets within the Americas region, so you must have the ability to travel internationally.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
Deliver technical guidance in the installation, calibration, and upkeep of instrumentation systems
Troubleshoot instrumentation-related issues to reduce downtime and improve reliability
Monitor system performance and recommend efficiency improvements
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to align systems with process needs
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and corporate standards
Support the design and implementation of new instrumentation technologies and upgrades
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and maintenance activities
Mentor peers on instrumentation practices, reporting, and digital tools
Conduct regular audits and inspections of systems to ensure reliability
Lead workshops and initiatives that foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation, electronics, or process control
Valid passport and ability/willingness to travel internationally
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive internationally
Experience in mining is preferred due to industry-specific systems and equipment
Fluency in Spanish is an asset
Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring others and fostering autonomy
Strong troubleshooting skills to support multiple sites and fix operational bottlenecks
Proficiency with online reporting tools, dynamic data tables, and digital documentation
Ability to run workshops and foster collaboration across multiple sites
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of safety and environmental compliance standards

Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included
Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off

The Newmont team is recruiting for the position of Advisor, Instrumentation with a competitive base salary between $83,385 - 111,180 / year, with an additional short-term incentive of 15%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity. The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 83,385 - 111,180 / year. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
