About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Reporting to the Lead, Safety and Emergency Response, the Advisor, Health & Safety at Brucejack Mine will be instrumental in cultivating a proactive safety culture throughout our operations. Your responsibilities will include identifying hazards, conducting inspections and audits, and coaching frontline leaders and workers in safe practices. By transforming observations into actionable steps, you will help ensure that everyone returns home safely-every day.
- Provide practical, hands-on coaching and training to workers and leaders on safe work procedures, risk identification, and incident reporting
- Lead or support the execution of safety programs, including fatality prevention, injury reduction, and wellbeing initiatives
- Collaborate with site and functional leaders to embed a culture of safety in daily operations
- Conduct field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards
- Coordinate Occupational Health & Safety Representative programs and support frontline engagement
- Implement and monitor safety management systems and change management processes
- Participate in incident investigations using tools such as 5 Whys and Event Reporting to drive learning and improvement
- Contribute to LOD1 (Line of Defense 1) assurance activities to validate the effectiveness of safety processes
- A diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related technical discipline.
- CSO or NCSO certification is an asset.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a field-based Health & Safety role within underground mining.
- Experience in construction, or industrial environments an asset
- Knowledge of industry-recognized health & safety systems and standards (e.g., CSA, OSHA, MSHA)
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, lead investigations, and implement H&S procedures
- Effective communicator and influencer with a strong presence in the field
- Experience working with frontline teams and leadership to embed safety practices
- Competent in applying H&S tools, analyzing performance data, and supporting continuous improvement
- Foundational understanding of change management and project coordination
- A self-aware, collaborative team member who contributes ideas, asks questions, and takes initiative
- Commitment to stopping unsafe work and advocating for a safe, inclusive environment
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Learning Management Systems (LMS) Is an asset
Location: Brucejack Mine (fly-in/fly-out role)
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Conditions: Onsite in a remote, industrial mining environment
Requirements: Must pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and comply with PPE and safety protocols

The expected salary range for this role is CA$83,400-111,180 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
