Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. The Project Administrator is responsible for overseeing project documentation, coordinating schedules, logistics, and subcontractor mobilization, and assisting with project tracking. They report to the Manager - Tailings Construction, but have strong functional relationships with the Construction Superintendent and Project Engineer.
Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of Project Administrator with a competitive base salary between $71,000 to $88,000 dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications.
- Organize and document project meetings and associated action registers.
- Maintain personnel schedules, timesheets, and training records for Newmont TIA personnel.
- Maintain the document management system and support responsible personnel in keeping documents up to date.
- Coordinate lodging and travel for Newmont personnel and subcontractors.
- Coordinate supply of goods and consumables for the construction program.
- Support contractor kickoff/mobilization
- Assist the Project Controller in managing invoices, and processing payments.
- Support site-wide administrative capacity as required
- 3+ years of experience in administrative roles.
- 2+ years of experience in Construction or Industrial Administration; strong knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and document management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.
- SAP proficiency essential.
This position is offered with a Monday-Friday schedule working in a remote capacity or from Newmont's Vancouver Regional office. Please note that monthly visits to the Red Chris Mine site are required. The incumbent will leverage one of the available marshalling points to charter to and from site 1 of every 4 weeks. The work schedule onsite consists of 12-hour workdays, most likely on a Thursday-Tuesday schedule.
Onsite we provide comfortable accommodations, including excellent balanced meals prepared by our culinary team. Team members can expect access to TV, Wi-Fi, on-site gym and a variety of recreational activities and you will work from one of the designated Administrative offices onsite.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$71,000 - $88,000/Year with additional 10% Short term incentive . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
