VDC Coordinator - Kelowna
Maple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for a talented VDC Coordinator to join our team in Kelowna, British Columbia.
As a VDC Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to support our estimating and project management teams for the successful planning, estimating and execution of tenders or projects. This position will require development and a high degree of cooperation with Estimating, Project Management and other offices.
As VDC Coordinator, you will be accountable to:
- Facilitate with the startup and implementation of the VDC process on a project level with the assistance, guidance and oversight of management
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop a project specific process for utilizing or creating 3D information for the purpose of estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, coordination, field layout and/or facilitates management
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum of 1 or more experience as a VDC Coordinator in the construction industry
- A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology or a combination of education and construction industry experience
- Drafting and 3D Modeling experience, which could include AutoCAD and Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Synchro, Navisworks or 3D Studio Max
- Ability to translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D Building Information Model (BIM)
- Experience with 4D Scheduling would be a benefit
- Civil, Structural, Mechanical modelling experience is considered an asset.
