Description

- Coordinate the shipping, receiving, warehousing of products and order picking to ensure all customer orders are shipped on time in accordance with customer specifications.
- Responsible for executing SAP transactions in EEWM, checking in shipments, creating warehouse tasks, assessing product availability, and correcting EDI failures.
- Manage Supervisors vacation schedules and act as relief where and when necessary. Will also act as vacation relief of Inventory Supervisor.
- Manage an hourly workforce of unionized employees in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with company policies, procedures and the collective agreement.
- Deliver operational and work environment objectives including safety, training, performance management, attendance management, competency assessment, coaching, and discipline.
- Work closely with Traffic team to manage all carrier issues to ensure the efficient unloading and loading of trailers.
- Ensure adequate workforce resources are available for Day-to-day operations.
- Interviewing prospective candidates in conjunction with Human Resources when necessary.
- Ensure all warehouse employees are properly trained in; health & safety, safe work procedures and all PME.
- Weekly review employee hours to ensure employees are paid for hours worked.
- Manage all employee issues and grievances in accordance with company policy and the collective agreement in conjunction with Human Resources and management.
- Assist in Budget preparation.
- Enter Purchase Orders as needed.
- Other project work as assigned by management.
- Post-secondary education.
- Strong adherence to meeting productivity, quality and safety standards.
- 5 + years experience in a distribution environment
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and communication skills required

- SAP experience and/or knowledge would be considered an asset.
