Under the responsibility of the Director of Sales – Western Canada, the position holder fulfills the responsibilities linked to Architectural support, representation and generating specifications in his territory.

Different responsibilities are expected such as:

  • Is responsible for developing specifications with the architectural and design community along with the business management of its designated territory, which is consistent with corporation objectives through special presentations of current and new products on the market
  • Is responsible for representing the company with various potential customers (Architects, consulting engineers, designers, general contractors, design build firms)
  • Is responsible for product training, communications with clients regarding technical matters on products, and influences buying decisions of the customers
  • Is responsible to present a written report to the management on the activities of the territory and provides market intelligence
  • Does cold calls activities or market solicitation on a regular basis
  • Industry association involvement (CSC Canada)
  • Completing presentations to architectural and design community
  • Does any other related tasks

Compétences recherchées

  • Education: High School Diploma. CD in Administration or Marketing, an asset with 3 years of experience in the same field
  • 5 year experience in architectural sales, customer service in a similar industry and environment or 5 to 10 year experience in the selling of floor covering (ceramics, carpets, vinyl, wood) and/or in the selling of concrete products
  • Valid driver's license holder
  • Experience in calling on architects, specification writers and other construction professionals.
  • Have good presentation skills
  • Be well organized
  • Have good negotiation and communication skills
  • Be customer and team oriented
  • Have good judgment and capacity to problem solve
  • Be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Have good mathematical abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook and Powerpoint

Commissions

Potential of a bonus up to $20 000 per year.
