Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to read, write and understand English in order to execute verbal or written instructions.
  • Must have a valid AZ drivers license and a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 5 years continuous carrier driving experience with class 'AZ' license
  • Knowledge of GTA Area and surrounding areas. Neat and well dressed.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
  • Initiative and an ability to work under minimum supervision are very important.
  • No major accidents in the last three years (as per driver’s abstract)

Vacancy: Immediate, Open Position

Annual Compensation Range: $29.00 - $34.66 / hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure the safe transport of MSM’s products and supplies from pick up to acceptance of delivery and communicating with logistics team.
  • Maintaining company vehicle and use in a safe and effective manner.
  • Comply with MTO regulations and requirements for professional Transport Truck Operators
  • Use and understand maps and navigation tools.
  • Capable of working independently
  • Able to use email, and smart phone.
  • Physically capable to manually wind up or down Landing gears on trailer, chassis B-train, and opening and closing container doors safely and securely.
  • Be willing to work overtime.
  • Perform short haul runs.
  • Perform pick-ups and deliveries as specified on daily schedule and ensures that all window times are met.
  • Confirms by signature all parts loaded and unloaded and ensures correct paperwork is provided.
  • Rotate through various areas of pickup and delivery to enhance cross functional capability.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment and loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Take responsibility for all accidents, bodily injury, and any damage applicable to any vehicle, regardless of cause or fault.
