GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with Team to ensure that first off quality status check list of the parts is of acceptable nature;
- Ensure that all quality standards and procedures are followed.
- Work with Cell Leaders and Supervisors to resolve any quality problems that arise effectively and efficiently;
- Work with production personnel to continually improve production processes, quality and efficiency;
- Assist Tooling and Process Engineers to run trials and document processes and improvement opportunities;
- Ensure that Quality Alerts and JES / SOS documentation is updated and training has been provided to the Associates.
- Full bin audits to verify packaging, labeling, cosmetic, and functional compliance of selected products
- Use of final fit gauges for all products
- First-off inspection procedures (dimensional and cosmetic)
- Conduct In-process testing
- Assist Photometric testing
- Report weekly audit results
- Knowledge of area operation - Hardcoat, UV, Flowcoating, Moulding, and Assembly
- Knowledge of potential quality defects
- Create Quality Alerts and set up containment activity
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 diploma required;
- Prior work experience/ knowledge in an automotive manufacturing environment would be an asset;
- Familiarity with statistical process control would be an asset
- Basic knowledge of various measuring instruments
- Awareness of quality requirements for all aspects of headlamp manufacture
- Knowledge of drawing files, control plans
- Computer proficiency - working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have a valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis;
- Ability to move around on the production floor;
- Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach;
- Ability to work shift work including overtime, as required;
- Ability to work at a computer workstation.
- Ability to lift to the maximum of 50 lbs periodically;
- Ability to travel between plants
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
