Responsibilities:
- Perform on-the-job training as required.
- Support on going plant initiatives including 5S, TS 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001,
- problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Must be able to perform all operations and processes in assigned work center.
- To communicate all quality, safety and customer satisfaction issues in a timely manner.
- Must notify supervisor/TL of any issues at occupied station by utilizing the ANDON process.
- Perform all tasks as per ODS and perform in station repairs as required.
- Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards.
- Taking appropriate corrective action when substandard performance is observed.
- Must be able to perform the assembly work to the established line cycle time and quality expectations.
- Adhere to Mississauga Seating Systems quality standards, operating procedures, policies and forms.
- In addition to the above, the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act S. 28
- Other duties as required.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and policies set out by Magna and the division are followed.
- Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues.
- Adhere to Mississauga Seating Systems’ Health, Safety, and Environmental. Comply with legislative requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Workplace Safety & Insurance Act, including the Duties of a Supervisor and Duties of he Employer as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act, s. 27 and 28 and all other applicable legal requirements.
Qualification:
- Three years prior working experience including 1 year of manufacturing assembly.
- Prior seat assembly experience essential.
- Able to identify product which does not meet customer expectations.
- Ability to document and communicate observed quality deficiencies.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have completed Grade 12 education.
