West Meadow Elementary School

Applications are invited from highly motivated educators, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, for the following position in southwestern Alberta. The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student learning, a commitment to collaborative leadership, a solid understanding of school improvement processes, and sensitivity to community needs.
An Assistant Principal is required at West Meadow Elementary School, located in Claresholm, Alberta, a grades K-6 school with approximately 325 students. The desired qualifications include the following:
- Master's Degree (or in process)
- Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate, or eligibly for same
- Commitment to establishing positive working relationships with parents and community partners
- Willingness to explore innovative approaches to learning
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of and a commitment to an inclusive learning environment
- The capacity to provide collaborative leadership in an environment of change
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
- A student centered approach to learning
- In depth knowledge of and experience with current assessment practices
- An understanding of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will begin on August 25, 2026
