Essential Responsibilities

• Execute precise field surveys, including measurements and instrument setup/configuration
• Collaborate effectively with crews and maintain clear, professional communication
• Interpret and apply surveying data from construction and design drawings
• Utilize machine control technology to upload and download files for excavators and dozer operators
• Track mining cut areas and stockpiles and coordinate with cross-shift
• Prepare detailed survey notes and calculate coordinates with precision
• Troubleshoot survey equipment as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a reclamation or mining environment
• Preferred diploma in a relevant field (Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering)
• Advanced RPAS license/certification
• Strong technical background in surveying, including use of Trimble GPS equipment
• Valid drivers license with a clean driver’s abstract issued within the last 30 days
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions

• Project based position working fourteen days on and Fourteen days off, working 12 hours per day
• Travel allowance and camp accommodation would be provided to those who qualify
• Work will be primarily outdoors and in various weather conditions

• Anticipated start date: December 2026
